A photo dump

Oh hey. I didn't mean to take such a break from blogging but between the bachelorette trip I went on last {last} week, work and then one last weekend with the mister before he starts the summer semester , which is class four nights a week, I felt like there was zero time to sit and blog or relax, really.

So first up, Jennifer's bachelorette cruise! Six girls, two rooms, a lot of drinks, fun and sun. It was great! I had only ever cruised with Jason and while I missed him by night two {of a three day trip, mind you. I have some issues}, it was nice to have a girls night, three nights in a row.
Bride to be and BINGO

I highly recommend Carnival's martini tasting. $17 for four very generous samples...

This past weekend, Jason and I drove to Orlando for a day and a half for some Disney fun! I had wanted to surprise Jason with a trip to Hollywood Studios for Star Wars Weekends, but since I am not a huge Star Wars junkie fan, he didn't want to go and have to explain things to me. Ha ha. So we went to DisneyQuest instead; five levels of games: arcade games, interactive, virtual reality, sports games, you name it, they had it. It was fun! The Crews' haven't had a fun impromptu weekend like that in ages, and  honestly it was bey-ond needed. Every now and again, its is really good to put yourselves first. It is also necessary.

Jason said he felt like a little kid at the arcade, who needed to call his mom to pick him up from the arcade. Haha.

Found a Chuy's in Orlando; sooo many bloggers have raved about  Chuy's and this was the first one I have been to

Monday, we spent the day with family, grilling out, drinking sangria and celebrating my sister's birthday. I don't love that it is back to reality, but after ten days of fun chaos, I am somewhat ready for a routine again.

Cupcakes for sister. Recipe, here

¡Olé!

Happy Cinco de Mayo, friends! We decided to celebrate a day early and visit Bar Louie at International Plaza, last night. You should totally go to their facebook page and vote for the below photo, so we can win a Dos XX's prize pack.

I have no idea, but go like the photo with our fun server, por favor?!

First, we had some tasty margaritas at Casa de Crews with friends.

{Recipe, HERE}

Jason is in study mode, so I was a single chica last night. Good thing I found this stud to make out with. ¡Olé!

Are you, or did you indulge in a margarita or three this weekend?

My life has been a tad crazy, and hectic the last few weeks, and so I am ready for a little normalcy, again.

XOXO,
Nichole

I mustache you a question...

Anything to do with mustaches makes me laugh. My bachelorette weekend, two years ago, my sisters' and bestie bought fun mustaches just cause' and they were fun to goof around with especially after a few shots.

Yep...
Anyways...

This weekend, we celebrated a friend's bridal shower and some girls went out the night before said shower for delicious Mexican at Casa Tina and drinks after at Dunedin House of Beer. The night was a blast! It had been ages since I went out like that sans husband and just goofed off. Sadly, it also has been ages since I had to drive myself and so that meant I had to be a responsible girl and drink less that everyone else...but still a great time was had {even if I was exhausted the next day}.

Saturday, we celebrated the bride to be! Her friends threw a fabulous shower and I loved all their details.

After the shower, I hightailed it home to get ready to see the Lightning play. Can I tell you that I love hockey?! May I also tell you that when the "cheap" seats are now thirty seven bucks a ticket, I get really sad when we lose? Thank the LORD, we won!

Then I came home to discover that the final season of Weeds was on Netflix.I can't even express my joy at this recent discovery...

Sunday was spent meal planning, lunching with the in-laws to celebrate Jason's birthday and cooking for the week. I was a tad bummed that I didn't have time to go drink green beer with friends and act a foo' hang, so I did the next best thing:

{Light Beer of your choice + green food dye = St. Patrick's fun at home}
Oh and cleaning my dishwasher Sunday night, cra-zzzy, right? Actually if you ever find yourself needing to do such boring, adult tasks like this, I suggest this site. It helped me immensely when cleaning our disguising machine.

INSTA+LATELY #2

Happy Hump Day!! Tomorrow is my Friday {I have named Friday, Zac Brown Band day {more on that later}} and I am bey-ond ready. I feel like quite the insta-hoe' lately, posting like it is my j.o.b. and so what better way to share my week in photos, that with this fun link up?!

Prepped lots of food these last few weeks:

Last week, we decided to have an impromptu mid-week happy hour at The Pub. They have some awesome happy hour specials {not including my cider, but I love Strongbow, so I had to have!}

Will you be my Valentine
  • I sent Jason an "invite"  last week to have dinner at our house, super cheesy but he liked it. Then I got sick, so we're doing it this weekend. It's cool.
  • Treats for the pups for Valentine's Day
  • Lots of balloons throughout our office

Tried my hand at another painting last night with Simply Art Studios. Twas' fun!

Weekend Recap

Linking up today to share the great weekend we had {and even though I did work Friday, my "weekend" fun began Thursday}...

Thursday, the bestie, a co-worker/friend and I attended a class at Simply Art Studios, in Oldsmar, where you, yes you, can become an arteest! I have done a canvas painting before, and yet I didn't feel any more confident this time. But we still had fun, even if I feel like a five year old could have done better....I actually did get a lot of compliments on it, so maybe we're all our own worst critics? I'm already signed up for another class...hoping practice makes perfect.

{necessary "fuel" for said painting}

Friday night, the hubs took me on a proper date. I'd been nagging him that we hadn't gone anywhere  like the ol' days in ages {because you know a birthday trip to Las Vegas wasn't enough {is it sad that I just realized I nagged my husband for a "date" when we went a trip only one month ago? Like I seriously just remembered.  Gah, sometimes I'm a b!tch}}

...anyways

Jason got us tickets to see Traces at the Straz Center. I had no idea what it was about, but I ended up loving it. It was an urban acrobatic show; it sounds way  cooler than I just explained it, swear.

After the show, we went to Miguels in South Tampa for delicious, delicious Mexican food and a margarita or three. Honestly, a date night like this was just what I needed. Thanks, boo!

Saturday, we drove down to Sarasota to hang with friends and watch a UFC fight. No fun pictures, but I did have this bombtastic salad from Miller's Alehouse.

On the way down to Sarsota, Jason stopped for gas and the bestie and I discovered this glorious sign and all its spelling glory.
{spot the errors}
Yesterday was spent doing boring weekday stuff like cleaning, food prepping and laundry. Yuck. We did, end up at our next door neighbors' to watch the game {and eat copious amounts of spinach & artichoke dip and guacamole}. No photos, but I'll leave you with my fave commerical {um, anyone else feel like there weren't all that many good commercials, or am I alone?}

How was your weekend?
