Because everything tastes better when it comes from a truck...

Last week, Jason, the bestie and I hit up our first food truck rally. I had heard of these rallies before, but had never been. Truth be told, thanks to Yelp, I was reminded of this particular one. Other than the fact that it was hotter than Hades, we had a blast!

{side note, I am a Yelp Elite!}
Last week, the event was held in a concourse area of MOSI. There were fifteen or sixteen food trucks in total. The mouth watering menus made it hard to choose from, but alas, decisions had  to be made. Tough life, right?

The Tampa Food Truck Rally started at 7pm. We arrived early, which allowed us a little time to peruse the trucks and salivate over the menus (I mean there was an Italian Quesadilla at Mobile Munchiez, I was drooooling)...It was a good thing we got there early, because this place got crowded, fast! But I will say everything was very organized, and for that I was beyond pleased with.

After much hemming and hawing I finally decided on a prime rib 'wich from Wicked 'Wiches; it did not disappoint! They did  have a chicken and waffles dish and after seeing a stranger eat it, I wish I had ordered that, but my sandwich was pretty tasty, nonetheless.

Hubs opted for some meat-a-balls from Jimmy Meatballs. Not gonna lie, the fact that their motto is, "Life's short...have a BALL!", made me giggle like a twelve year old boy.

...and lastly, Amy had a burger from Burger Culture Tampa. I always tease her about not trying new eats, but she said it was one of the best cheeseburgers ever and how can you argue with that?

That was my first ever food truck experience, and you better believe it won't be my last!

Have you been to a food truck rally? What did you think?!

XOXO,
Nichole

  1. There is a Sunday market in Boston that I have gone to and they have food trucks. I loved it! Bon Me was amazing. Worcester had a food truck festival in July and that was fun too!

  2. I definitely want to make it to the next one! Also, every Thursday downtown there's an event called Flicks n' Food Trucks. They show a free movie in Curtis Hixon Park and there are food trucks. Not sure if it's a year-round thing (I believe it is), but I definitely want to make it over there one Thursday.
