Guacamole Recipe

Do you have any  idea how much I love this dip? It's easy, flavorful and pretty healthy. You can use guac on so many things! I made this guy for a Superbowl party we went to Sunday, but I also add it to salads sometimes for some kick.

I'm always looking for new ingredients to add to this dip, but the same classic ones are what I always go back to.

Nichole's Guacamole Recipe

3 Haas avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
1 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 medium onion, diced (I like red onions, but use whatever you like)
2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
2 tablespoon chopped cilantro (I love me some cilantro so feel free to use more!)
1 clove garlic, minced

In a large bowl place the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice, toss to coat. Drain, and reserve the lime juice, after all of the avocados have been coated. Using a potato masher add the salt, cumin, and mash. Then, fold in the onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve.

  1. I've been wanting to make my own guacamole for a while now! I've gotten on a serious guacamole kick.. I'll have to try this recipe!

  2. Yum. can I put in a request for some of this at the next tampa bloggers meet up?

  3. yum! love guac!

I guess I will have to make some and scoop it out with one of my new spatulas!! (got your package yesterday...you are the BEST)

  4. I put tomatoes in mine too! Not everyone does, but I love it.

  5. I love guac. I just randomly through things into mine until it tastes good. Tomatoes/salsa of some kind is a must!
