Meal Plan Menu #1

It's that time! The first ever link up with Steph and I sharing our weekly food prep and meal plan menus, together. I didn't really start meal planning religiously until the beginning of this year. And if I am being honest, sometimes it annoys me to take a lot of the day {generally on Sundays} prepping my eats for the week. However, it saves SO much time the rest of the work week, and even though it took some adjusting to get into this habit, I have come to love it and enjoy finding new recipes.

And while sharing my menus, I have found a lot of other bloggers out there who also prep for the week...so grab our button, share your link and show us your eats!

Casa de Crews weekly menu: *most of our dinners are lunch the following day.

Monday: Blackened Dijon Chicken with salad

TuesdayMeatballs and zuchinni "noodles". I found this Spirelli Spiral Cutter online to make noodle like textures. Sometimes, I am five and need to trick myself to eat veggies. Jason has raved about the noodles, so it is a keeper. If you don't have some fancy schmancy spiral veggie tool; a plain ol' veggie peeler will work {they will just be a bit thicker}.

sauteed in olive oil and chopped fresh garlic {get in mah belly}

Wednesday: I made a huge batch of meatballs; they freeze well but I still had {more than} enough for two lunches and dinner for us. I plan to use them with mashed cauliflower.

Thursday: I was invited to a blogger event at Little Greek in South Tampa. I love Greek food; especially Little Greek! More details this week to follow.

Hey lover...Pork Souvlaki platter. One of my faves at Little Greek!

Friday: Steak, mashed cauli and a caesar side salad.

Usually Friday we go out for happy hour and/or dinner, but Saturday I am meeting with a bride whose wedding I am coordinating at the end of the month, AND we're celebrating a friend's birthday later that day, where I will be eating and drinking, so we're staying in Friday.

...and of course my go to egg muffin "cups" in the morning. Snacks are usually hard boiled eggs or string cheese. Exciting stuff, I know.

Soooo, what are you making this week? Let us know below!

  6. I need to buy one of those fun spiral peelers. Of course I could probably do it in my food processor, maybe I should look into that...I like the idea of zuc noodles, but Hagin would not be so thrilled.

  8. I totally need to get one of those spiral cutters. Are they easy to use?? I bought a mandolin last year and it just sits unused b/c I cut my fingers on it the first time I tried to use it!

    1. It was VERY easy to use, Jenny! Mandolins have always sort of intimidated me with their sharp blades, but the spiral cutter was easy AND I didn't hurt myself. I call that a win :)
