That time I poked my eyeball

...and scratched it. Have you ever scratched your freakin' eyeball before?!

So, the other day, J and I came home from work to find quite the ball of "fluff" on the floor...
Obviously, Gigi was the culprit. We looked under the bed to see what she "killed" (usually a poor, unsuspecting stuffed animal is the victim) and sure enough we found said animal, toilet paper (she's a friggin' ninja, ya'll. I swear we keep the bathroom doors shut and yet, there was a tp jungle under there) Fossil sunglasses that I JUST BOUGHT.

I was pretty annoyed but that didn't stop me from snapping a pic with my broken shades. And when I went to take my broken glasses off, I poked my eye. And apparently scratched it too...first time for everything.
{Not the best photo (BB quality) but you get the point}
{Also, I am an a-hole. Clearly}
I went around the house with a leaking eye and had to wear (other) sunglasses at night in the dark (it was really sensitive). Swear this happened. And if I took the glasses off, I had to keep my left eye closed. Jason kept telling me to stop winking at him (thanks, ass).

Thankfully, my eye is  better. Still irritated, and a tad red but better. Good thing too, because I'm not sure if I could rock the whole eye patch "look"...

  1. my sister poked her eyeball {well someone else poked her eyeball} when she was little. she had to wear a patch. I was just telling my son about this the other day!

  2. I hear you on the now unstuffed animals, toilet paper, and unfortunately sunglasses being destroyed by puppies.

    I've scratched my eye before. It hurts so bad. I think I just wanted to sleep all day because it hurt to open my eye.

  3. When people wear eye patches, it makes me LOL so hard!

  4. I had it happen to me and had to wear an eye patch! Hope you feel better soon!

  5. I hope it gets better soon! I once had to wear an eye patch for 3 weeks after eye surgery. I was in high school, and my friends spoke in "pirate" to me for months after.

  6. Oh no! My younger sister scratched my eye when we were little. I head to go to the ER in the middle of the night. It wasn't very fun. Glad your eye is feeling better!

  7. A very long time ago my mom had poked her eyeball and she has naturally long fingernails.. so yeah she had to wear the eye patch. Til this day she still brings it up! Good thing your eye is getting better.
