Luscious Locks

You guys, my husband is on strike. He is on strike from cutting his hair. When I met Jason six years ago, he kept his do' super short. I liked it a little longer, and since he was a nice boyfriend, he grew it out for me. And when I say grew it out, I mean like a l.i.t.t.l.e. on the sides.

Halloween, 2007. Short.

He has pretty much kept it the same give or take, over the years.

2012, my favorite length.

Until this summer; now he is all about growing the hair out. He refers to them as his luscious locks. If I am having a bad day, he tells me to, "shush and just touch the hair, you'll feel better". Our six year old niece asked me two weeks ago why Uncle Jason's hair looked crazy.

A last haircut, March 2013

August 2013
The dude had his hair products confiscated at TIA when we went to New York, because he didn't carry on the approved 3oz bottles.

I want to take clippers to his head in his sleep--I can't help it. Or shave my hair in protest to him not cutting his.

Jason's reasoning is that once he is out of law school and is a legit lawyer, he can't wear his hair the way he has been. Never mind that he has THREE years of school left, and the bar to take. Minor detail.

I tried pinteresting hair ::ahem:: suggestions to force upon give Jason, but that didn't help.

And the icing on this hairy cake? Everyone but me seems to dig the new do'. I'm an army of one here, folks. Send HELP...

  1. Sorry, but I kind of agree with your husband :) My husband had LONG hair in college which he grew out, along with a crazy long goatee beard, in rebellion from his father. He once overheard a little child in Publix say, "Dad, is that a BAD man?" in reference to him. He has really thick, dark, wavy hair so when it is long it is big and crazy. He had fairly long hair all through law school. Ever since he entered the professional world he has kept it very short, but still keeps a neat beard (his little socially acceptable rebellion). We are old 44 year olds, but still Deadheads at heart. Be young while you can :)

  2. Too funny! I was imagining him telling you Shush and touch the hair. It had sort of an Unlce Jesse from Full House vibe. ;)

  3. Haha.... I ALMOST got my nose pierced in law school for the same reasons, but Micah talked me out of it. So be persistent, and maybe you'll convince him to cut it off. :)
