10 Pound Challenge...

Can I tell you this past weekend I was craving some pizza? Like hard core wanted to order out and tell the hubs to deal with it ("it" being me whining about being fat and then me feeling bad after I eat said pizza, that is)...

But I didn't do it. Did you hear me, ya'll? I DIDN'T DO IT. In fact, the weekends are always where I falter from my diet "healthy lifestyle".  NOT this weekend... Honestly, I know it was because I was bored. I eventually found something low carb and healthy and moved on. Sometimes that is hard for me, though.

But let's be honest for a sec, yes? You all saw my birthday pictures? I was already big, but over the holidays, I ate whatever I wanted and I think that was beyond apparent in those photos. My face looked bloated and I felt like that Michelen dude. I was/am so unhappy with those pics even though the day itself was perfect.

No one can lose the weight for me. No one can can force me to have a beer or two (or...three?) or wine or whatever. No one can run for me or stretch it out or burn the calories FOR ME.

I have to do it. I know that. I have always known that. Some days are better than others...

An incentive should be enough (Oh, you know like getting married?!) but clearly that hasn't always been enough for me...perhaps cash money will get me to do what I need to.

So guess what? I am joining the 10lb challenge hosted my Newlyweds on a Budget! The goal is to lose at least 10lbs by April 9 (which just happens to be our one year wedding anniversary; I am taking this as a sign, ya'll). I *will* also blog about my weight loss journey in hopes to keep my booty in check...I need to. It was one of my main goals for 2012. I would love to lose a lot of weight but I said a "hope" for 2012 was that I would be more healthy, so....here we go.

If you'd like to take part in this awesome challenge, possibly win some dough and lose weight, check it out!

P.S. Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a jar of Kelapo coconut oil. It's healthy for the body and good for your skin and hair...go here!

  1. Good luck girl! I have been working out so that is good but getting the results takes a while since I'm still eating some cards on sandwiches, etc. I have tried to stick with just salads for lunch so that helps too :-) oh and fruit for snacking I am trying to get used to that and not having a piece of candy when I want to!

  4. Stay focused and if you need it I can send you a motivational message everyday! It helped me to have someone there with a little push in the direction I needed to stay. Like Nike, just do it. Then be like BK and have it your way!

  5. I'm excited for you and proud of you! I decided to lose 20 lbs for my best friends wedding - and I lost 50. Then 20 more. Then gained 20 back...so now I'm trying to lose that again and maybe even some more to hit my final, ultimate, skinny weight. It's hard and it sucks and there are defs setbacks...but I think we can do it. : ] If you need any encouragement along the way - hit me up.
