What's helped me make working out/getting healthy easier is finding an activity I enjoy and working on getting better at said activity. For me, I found out that I enjoyed running (go figure). Once I started focusing on getting better at it (signing myself up for different distances, focusing on my pace per mile, whatever), it was easier to stick to instead of the way I used to workout, which was pop in a Jillian Michaels DVD only to jump off the bandwagon a few weeks later. And working at an activity you enjoy makes you actually look forward to working out AND all the good/vain stuff will improve (weight, health, etc.).
